The best KCPE candidate in Bomet County Valerie Chemutai, who scored 421 marks, has credited her success to the fear of God, discipline and hardwork.
Speaking to the press, Chemutai who now eyes Alliance Girls High School, said she expected good results but did not imagine being among the top.
“I attribute my success to God and teachers. My other motivation came from my parents who always made sure that I got time to read while at home. They also supported me by paying school fees on time,” said Chemutai.

Elsewhere, the fourth best candidate in the county Naomi Chepkoech who garnered 411 marks thanked God, her parents and teachers for their efforts in ensuring they performed well.
“I am not just happy with the results, but I know I will secure a good school. I have been studying until late in the night and also praying to God to help me in my studies. I am happy that He has enabled me,” added Chepkoech.
Teachers on their part generally attributed the performance to cooperation among stakeholders, urging them to maintain the same.
