Bomet’s County teacher promotional appointment letters will be released next week.
In a statement released the Bomet County KUPPET Executive Secretary Paul Kimeto on March 21, 2024 said the letters are being drafted for dispatch.
The county KUPPET executive secretary affirmed to teachers that those qualified for administrative positions to be retained in their stations if the station does not have a substantive deputy or principal. Those whose institution has a substantive deputy or principal will receive administrative letters to a new station.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) honoured Bomet County with 746 promotional appointments for both secondary and primary schools in the county.
The executive secretary promised to post the whole of list for Bomet showing different cadres by next week after the official release from the head office.
Paul Kimeto further added that teachers who never made it to the promotional list, their names will be handed to the national executive board for considerations by the TSC CEO Dr Nancy Macharia on the collected complaints.

“We feel every file should be reviewed with view of assisting the affected teachers,” he said.
This relieve comes after vigorous fight from the teachers’ union with the teachers’ employer to streamline the promotional procedures. They demanded for transparency and non-discriminatory procedure against its county and sub-county in promotion interviews.
