Bomachoge teachers form Welfare Association

Secondary school teachers from Bomachoge Borabu and Chache constituencies have founded Bomachoge Teachers Welfare Association (BOTWA).

While addressing the teachers on Friday at Ogembo town  during the  inauguration of their Association, outgoing Kisii County Deputy Govenor Dr. Joash Maangi said that teachers are the main instruments of change in any society.

Mr Maangi who is seeking the Kisii County senatorial seat asked the teachers to give him their votes as he drummed up support for his alliance party.

“The Kenya Kwanza Team through its comprehensive education  charter seeks to provide affordable and accessible education to all,” he said.

He said that their bottom up of approach to development from the grassroots encourages all to embrace education as the main tool of development.

During the inauguration the interim officials were confirmed with George Mogire of Nyatwoni Secondary School being elected the Chairman as Everyone Onderi became his Vice Chairperson.

The Secretary position went to Benson Ombongi of Gionsaria Secondary School while Gekano High school Chief Albert Ombiro and Tabitha Mogonchi of Riambase Secondary School were honoured to be the patrons of the welfare.
