Bomachoge Borabu, Member of Parliament, (MP) Barongo Nolfason Obadiah, has launched Phase II of his constituency’s bursary programme by disbursing funds to principals of local secondary schools.
The initiative follows the successful completion of Phase I, which targeted university students earlier this year.
Barongo, on his official Facebook account, emphasised that the bursary programme is designed to ensure inclusive and equitable access to education across all levels, from foundational to tertiary learning.

The MP noted that the structured two-phase rollout reflects a deliberate effort to support learners at different stages, aligning with his vision of education as a key pillar in the constituency’s development agenda.
“This structured approach ensures that both higher and foundational learning are supported, affirming education as a top priority in the constituency’s development agenda.” He noted

This latest phase focuses on easing the financial burden on parents and guardians with children in secondary school, especially in rural and underserved areas of Bomachoge Borabu.
The bursary programme is part of a broader constituency development strategy that Barongo has prioritized since taking office, with education among his focus areas.
