BOM chair replaced for rejecting new principal

The Kisii County Education Board has removed a Catholic priest from being the BOM chair of Cardinal Otunga, Mosocho High School after he reportedly locked out and led other members of his board to reject the newly transferred principal.
The chairman County Education Board Dr. Henry Onderi accused Fr. James Obaigwa of giving orders to the school administration not to allow the new principal access his new office claiming the sponsor did not recognize his transfer. According to Onderi, the chairman later directed that the office be opened on receiving information that the county administration had taken up the matter.
The sacking of Fr. Obaigwa saw the Deputy BOM Chair assume the role of the board chairman until elections are held.
