Bishop Anglican church of Kenya diocese of Makueni Francis Matui has called upon schools sponsored by ACK to keep themselves to the trajectory of going up throughout not forgetting to spiritually mentor the learners to be better people in the future.
“Of course, education without discipline and fear of God will amount to nothing. We should ensure that our children get all the best from us,” Matui said.
He was speaking during ACK Wote township school AGM coupled with unveiling of modern mega hall and election of new BOM members.
He noted that the school has achieved tremendous growth in terms of infrastructure and performance applauding the head teacher Onesmus Wambua for the good leadership with the able BOM members.
He commended the workmanship of the newly construct mega hall which will be used temporarily as boys dormitory as they head to construction of the new dorm in October.
“We have done five main projects coupled with exemplary performance in the period of one and half year starting with new school bus, storey classes, mega girls dormitory and modern hall with toilets,” Matui said.

He encouraged that the ministry’s specification of the school infrastructure be followed to the latter adding that they have had all in their infrastructure.
Makueni county assistant director Daniel ole Munyere also called upon learners to maintain discipline and hardworking which has helped them shine in Eastern region and beyond.

The school head teacher Onesmus Wambua noted that the school has grown from 751 to 1300 pupils since he took over one and half year ago. He thanked TSC for giving them 11 JSS teachers and enough staff for that matter.
“We are leading the county with many JSS teachers. I found 26 teachers when I came here, today we are talking of 38. Thank you TSC. We promise to continue shining forever,” Wambua said.
He noted that the school is not an examination briefcase and that every pupil performs according to their ability.
“For the parents waiting for us to give your kids what they don’t deserve, kindly we will not. Everyone performs according to their ability. We try our best as teachers. In fact CBE is here with us and a lot has changed,” Wambua said.
