Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti has urged students at Kenya High School, her former high school, to steer away from bad company that might derail their career aspirations.
Speaking during a visit to the institution, the governor encouraged the students to remain focused and committed in order to excel in the forthcoming KCSE exams.
Clad in her high school uniform, she urged the girls to strive to make a mark in the society so that their contributions can lead to them being celebrated on Mashujaa Day.

“Keep your eyes on the ball and never give up. Nothing is impossible as long as you have God,” she said, adding that the visit was a way of giving back to the institution which nurtured and moulded her into a leader.
The governor was accompanied by her Deputy Hon. Francis Mwangangi who noted that the governor was a true testimony that the girl-child is capable of achieving greatness in all spheres of life.
School Principal Virginia Wahome thanked the guests for motivating the girls.
