Bob Andersen, a rose flower, Avocado and dairy investor in Endebess subcounty, Trans-Nzoia County, has been lauded for fully giving back to the community through education.
Apart from Andersen schools, which include primary and High school, which he initiated and handed to the government to manage, he also came up with a special school and a vocational training institute where hundreds of students get skills in variousfields like engineering, masonry, buildingand construction, driving, welding, etc. The institutions are doing very well since they’re churning out graduates who are hot cakes in the job market, as High school leads in KCSE exam results in the county.
Lilian Siyoi Walubengo, the Trans-Nzoia Women Representative, said that the vocational training college is producing employable graduates. She added that apart from providing relevant infrastructure, the investor goes a notch higher to support the students by providing job opportunities in his firm, plus KSh 6000 for personal upkeep. Additionally, the investor colours the students’ diet with avocados and meat once a week.
