The Alumni Association of Teremi Boys High School in Bungoma county has come to the rescue of Ramsey Wanyonyi, a former student at Kibabii Primary School who was yet to join secondary school due to lack of school fees.

While addressing the press after enrolling him in the school, the Association Patron Boniface Munyole said that they got wind of Wanyonyi’s situation through a WhatsApp forum.

They then initiated a fundraiser where they raised Ksh50,000 in a few hours required to offset the school fees, uniform and shopping costs.

The Association also pledged to cater to all his financial needs until he completes Form 4.

Munyole thanked all the alumni who chipped in to ensure that Wanyonyi enrolled for Form 1.

Wanyonyi, who scored 363 marks in the 2023 KCPE exams, thanked the alumni for coming to his rescue and promised to focus on his studies to ensure he fulfills his dream of becoming an Engineer.
