Two Agoro Sare students win scholarships to study in US university

Two students from Agoro Sare High School, located in Oyugis, Homa Bay County have won full scholarship to study in the US University.

The two beneficiaries will proceed to Lindsey Wilson University following their impeccable football talent during the CS Eliud Owalo open tournament in the area.

According to Agoro Sare Principal, – two footballers James Omollo and Vincent Rapudo were identified by a talent representative Sicelo Buthelezi during the recent CS Eliud Owalo Open tournament competitions held at the school.

“He noticed the boys independently and informed us about the offer then we had no objection but to surrender the boys to them to pursue their passion in sports and learning,” he said.

The football tournament that brought together Kisumu, Gendia and the host Agoro Sare school, was sponsored by CS Eliud Owalo Foundation in partnership with Lindsey Wilson University in the USA for the main objective of successful blending of education with sports talent to help the youth realize their true potential in society.

During the match, CS Owalo who blessed the tournament promised that his foundation will continue to offer more scholarships to students who displayed high degree of excellence in both sports and education.

The fascinating tournament was also attended by former prominent Harambee stars player James Goro and Chief coach Gerald Omollo.

Mr. Omollo admonished players to maintained discipline and patience in their football career if they aspire to succeed.

Omollo asked other interested parties or individuals to join hands with the CS Owalo to strengthen the foundation for the benefit of many talented youths in the community.
