Africans in Germany have launched an e-learning platform to help European job seekers find employment. Uhuru Academy Africa’s Chief Executive Officer, Lilian Schlachtenrodt, has partnered with Lars Dahlhoff to allow qualified Africans to work in German through e-learning.
Despite their busy schedules, the online language academy has attracted many individuals who find it convenient to learn at night. The academy began with a foreign language teacher whose influence had spread rapidly.
“There are very many job opportunities in German, but without the language, a jobseeker will get disqualified since their native language is German; very few countries and people from Europe use English to communicate, that is why we have linked up, provided an online class specifically teaching German language for Africans who are looking for jobs in Europe,” said Lilian.

“E-learning platforms are a current trend and will likely continue to be so in the future. We all learned something from the pandemic, and e-learning is a way of securing continuity and survival. Not forgetting that it provides access to a resource for anyone worldwide, regardless of their social or economic circumstances.”
To qualify under Uhuru Academy, one must have a B2 level of education. With the certification, one will be perceived to be qualified to communicate freely in the German language.
“We will offer courses up to B2 level in the German language. With this, communication will be easy, and the job seeker will also be able to understand what is being said,” the CEO added.
