Makueni Sub County Deputy County Commissioner Paul Lagat has called for the need to address adult teacher shortage and provision of enough computers to enhance digital learning adding that the county has 254 centers serving about 4800 learners who are not able to access basic digital learning.
Speaking at Mukuyuni comprehensive school during celebration of International Literacy Day, Lagat challenged adult learners to be in line with the CBE since KCPE and KCSE examinations are coming to an end by 2027.
He called for more men to enroll, saying that their numbers were few compared to women. He added that the government has shifted all its services to digital platforms hence the need for digital literacy among adults.
