A 23-year-old man was dramatically arrested in Kandara, Murang’a for marrying a class five girl.The girl had gone missing for several months after she was sent to buy avocados from a neighbour’s farm.It is then that the accused Mbugua Chege eloped with the 14-year-old girl.
Area division Assistant County Commissioner Fabian Wambua said when investigations are over the suspect will be arraigned in and be charged with defilement.
The administrator decried an upsurge of such cases in the area and warned of stern action to men found in relationship with minors.
