Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof George Magoha has been accused of
inconsistency in giving out information concerning the reopening of schools.
Speaking to Education News, KNUT Executive Secretary Keiyo branch Musa Busienei has said that the CS is complicating the reopening preparation.
Mr Busienei castigated the CS for what he termed as shifting stance saying it hampers decisions making by education stakeholders.
“Magoha is confusing the stakeholders pertaining the reopening
of schools. Today, schools will reopen in September, tomorrow maybe January or sometimes may not reopen at all,” said Mr Busienei.
The unionist called on the CS to put his house in order saying such conflicting communication instills panic among the learners while confusing education players.
“Parents, students and other stakeholder need to make informed decision on matters schools reopening, therefore, incoherent communication is uncalled for,” added Mr Busienei.
According to Busienei, Magoha should lead his team in facilitating the preparation of institutions ahead of reopening.
