Needy students from Kirinyaga County are set to receive a total of Sh 70 million bursary funds.

Area Deputy Governor, Peter Ndambiri said the money will be disbursed in September to the most deserving students among the 15,000 applicants.

“Allocation for those in day school has increased to Sh 5,000 from Sh 3,000 while those in boarding schools will receive over Sh 10, 000,” said Ndambiri.

He also emphasized on the need for leaders to work together in a bid to develop the county.

Ndambiri was speaking at Kerugoya Boys High School recently.
