Primary schools to upload CBC results by 16th September

Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Chief Executive Officer David Njeng’ere has directed that all primary schools download and deliver Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) tests by 9th  September.

This is after KNEC made the assessment materials available on its website.

Njeng’ere said that after the students have taken their examinations, schools will have one week to upload their results to the platform.

He further affirmed that Grade Six learners had completed their projects and practicals for the national evaluation.

He clarified that in Art and Craft section, students were tested on their knowledge of marionette–making, while the Home science assessment was on their sewing skills. In Science and Technology, learners created a circulatory system model while in music they were expected to perform a folk song of their choice.

In Physical Education, students were required to crawl and swim, skip a rope and catch a ball with both hands.

However, in the junior secondary entry examinations learners will sit for Kiswahili, English, Mathematics, Home Science, Agriculture, Science and Technology , Creative Arts, (Art, Craft and Music) Moral and Life Skills and Physical and Health Education.

Other options include Social studies, (Citizenship, Geography, and History) and Foreign languages like French, German, Chinese and Arabic.
