Delay in funds’ release paralyzing school activities, says union

Kenya National Union of Post Primary Education (Kuppet) Bungoma branch wants the Government to ensure schools have funds on time.
David Barasa, county Kuppet Chairman, said delays in the release of funds were paralyzing activities in public schools causing principals to send away students.
Barasa also called on Teachers Service Commission to reconsider the decision on the new delocalization policy saying it was causing families to separate and students’ unrests.
However, he lauded the Government plan to have every student in schools get medical cover.
