Include Sickle Cell anaemia in curriculum, State told

By Erick Nyayiera

The Ministry of Education has been urged to introduce the sickle cell anaemia study in the new curriculum since it affects more school going children who do not know how to handle the condition.
The Co-ordinator of Sickle Cell Foundation Martin Oracha observed that sickle cell was affecting many school going children in the Nyanza region and coastal Kenya, hence needed to be given the necessary attention just like the HIVand Aids.
Martin Oracha, a teacher by profession runs the Martinoscam herbal medication therapy which offers treatment to persons affected by sickle cell anaemia.
