A group of Kipsigis Girls School alumnae have come together and target to raise Sh4 million for the drilling of a borehole in the school.
The group recently met at the famous institution and resolved to put in place measures aimed at assisting in alleviating some of the challenges facing the school.
The team leader Senator Judith Pareno said that the current group of old girls in conjunction with the Board of Management, students, parents and staff, were ready and willing to assist the school through identifying its most urgent needs and seeking solutions.
During dry seasons students from the school are forced to trek several kilometers to the nearby rivers to fetch water.
