Matungu MP hands over 51-seater bus to ACK Ngairwe Senior

A new chapter in student transport at ACK Ngairwe Senior School has begun after Matungu MP Peter Oscar Nabulindo handed over a brand-new 51-seater school bus to the institution.

The bus is expected to ease years of transport challenges that have forced the school to hire vehicles from neighbouring institutions for educational trips, sporting activities, academic programmes and other co-curricular engagements.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, school principal Mrs Agnes Wandera thanked Nabulindo for what she described as a major boost to the school. She said the institution had been spending significant amounts of money hiring buses whenever students needed to travel outside the school.

“We used to spend a lot of money hiring buses from neighbouring schools. Today, we are glad to receive our own,” Wandera said.

She said the new bus would reduce the financial and logistical burden associated with hired transport and allow the school to plan its activities with ease.

Nabulindo said the donation is part of his commitment to improving learning conditions and supporting education development in Matungu Constituency. He said reliable transport is key to exposing learners to external academic and co-curricular opportunities.

Learners and parents who attended the ceremony welcomed the donation, saying it would enhance student participation in outside school programmes and reduce costs previously passed to families.
