Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera has called for thorough investigations into allegations against the Lumakanda Officer Commanding Station (OCS), accused of defiling a Grade Eight pupil and attempting to compromise the case through a cash payment.
The claims surfaced during a church service at Mautuma Parish on Sunday, where the legislator alleged the officer had assaulted a minor from Mautuma village. Nabwera further claimed the officer offered the victim’s mother Sh20,000 to settle the matter out of court and prevent the family from pursuing formal legal action.
Condemning the alleged conduct, Nabwera urged investigators to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion, stressing that anyone found culpable should face the law. He confirmed that the case file had been transferred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for further inquiry.

“The matter must be investigated thoroughly and brought to its logical conclusion so that justice can be served,” Nabwera said.
The allegations have drawn the attention of local leaders, with the Lumakanda area MCA visiting the affected family to establish the circumstances surrounding the case. The investigation comes amid growing concern over sexual offences against children and claims of attempts to interfere with justice.
The National Police Service has not issued a public statement on the allegations, and the officer has not publicly responded to the claims. He remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
