A family in Kericho County is still holding on to hope of finding their daughter and sister, Mercy Chepkoech, also known as Phyllis, who went missing 11 years ago.
Mercy disappeared while working as an Early Childhood Development (ECD) teacher at a private school in Belgut, Kericho County. Despite the passage of more than a decade, her family says they have never given up efforts to establish her whereabouts.
According to the family, Mercy’s disappearance has left a painful void that has never been filled. They continue to hope that she is alive somewhere and that one day she will return home. “We remember her every day. We have never lost hope of finding our sister,” the family said, maintaining that they continue to pray and search for answers.

For the family, the 11 years have been marked by uncertainty, unanswered questions and the pain of not knowing what happened to their loved one. They are now appealing to anyone who may have information about Mercy’s whereabouts to come forward and assist the family in reuniting with her.
The family says their greatest wish remains to see Mercy walk back home, regardless of how many years have passed.
