The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released school-specific reports for the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), allowing schools to access and download their performance reports through the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, August 26, KNEC confirmed that the reports were now available for schools.
“The 2025 KPSEA and KJSEA School-Specific Reports are now available on the CBA Portal for access and download by schools,” the Council stated.
According to KNEC, headteachers can access the reports by logging into the CBA portal using their school credentials.
How schools can download reports
The Council has advised school administrators to first confirm that the profile displayed in the top-right corner of the portal is set to Headteacher before proceeding.
From the Headteacher menu, users should select School Report, then choose the appropriate report type — either KPSEA or KJSEA. The active report type will be displayed above the download button.
Schools can then click the green Download button to obtain the report in PDF format.
The document will normally be saved in the device’s Downloads folder unless the browser prompts the user to select a different location.
KNEC’s existing guidance confirms that school-specific reports are accessed through its CBA system and can be downloaded and printed by institutions.
The Council’s official portals page also identifies its KPSEA and KJSEA platform as the designated system for schools handling the assessments.
Schools urged to verify details
KNEC has further urged schools to verify the details on the downloaded report before using it.
These include the school name, centre code and related details, and the report type to ensure the correct KPSEA or KJSEA report has been downloaded.
The checks are particularly important because the reports contain institution-specific assessment information intended to help schools understand the performance of their learners.
The release provides schools with access to assessment information as they evaluate learner performance under Competency-Based Education.
KPSEA is administered at the end of Grade 6, while KJSEA is administered at the end of Grade 9. KJSEA plays an important role in the transition from Junior School to Senior School.
KNEC officially released the 2025 KJSEA results in December last year and enabled heads of institutions to access their centres’ results through their institutional portals.
KNEC provides user guide
KNEC’s official user guide also provides guidance on the management and administration of KPSEA and KJSEA through the CBA portal. The Council published the KPSEA-KJSEA User Guide on its website in February 2026.

Schools can access the CBA portal through KNEC’s official online assessment platform.
KNEC advises school administrators to carefully verify all report details before sharing, printing or relying on the documents for official purposes.
