The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has opened applications for three senior job vacancies, calling on qualified candidates to submit their applications ahead of a September 1, 2026 deadline.
The advertised positions are Director, Assessments Administration; Director, Research, Quality Assurance and Planning; and Deputy Director, Finance and Accounts, with the council seeking to fill one slot in each role.
Both director-level positions have been placed under KNEC Grade 2, while the Deputy Director, Finance and Accounts role falls under KNEC Grade 3, with the council indicating that successful candidates will receive competitive remuneration packages commensurate with the responsibilities attached to each position.

To be considered, applicants are required to submit the relevant KNEC employment application forms alongside application letters, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, and detailed curricula vitae.
Candidates must also provide daytime telephone contacts and email addresses, disclose their current remuneration details, including their latest payslip, and furnish contacts for three referees.
All applications should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenya National Examinations Council, New Mitihani House, South C, Nairobi, and must reach the council on or before September 1, 2026.

The council has cautioned that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, warning that any attempt at canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
Beyond the standard application requirements, successful candidates will additionally be required to submit clearances under Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya before assuming office.
