- KNEC has officially opened registration for candidates sitting the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations.
- Accredited institutions have been urged to register all eligible candidates within the stipulated timelines.
- The council says institutions must verify candidate details and ensure all examination requirements are met before submitting registrations.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially opened the registration window for candidates intending to sit the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations.
In a notice to accredited training institutions across the country, KNEC urged school administrators and examination officers to ensure all eligible candidates are registered within the stipulated period to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
The registration exercise targets candidates pursuing various business and technical courses offered in accredited Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, technical colleges and other approved examination centres.
KNEC directed institutions to verify candidates’ details before submitting registration data to ensure accuracy and prevent errors that could affect the processing of examination results and certification.
The council further instructed institutions to confirm that candidates meet all eligibility requirements, including course completion and payment of the prescribed examination fees, before registration is finalised.
According to KNEC, all registrations will be conducted through its online examination management system, where institutions are expected to upload candidates’ details and any required supporting documents.
The council warned that late registration may attract penalties or result in candidates missing the examinations altogether, urging institutions to complete the exercise within the announced timelines.
Candidates have also been advised to confirm the accuracy of their personal details, including names, identification numbers, gender and course codes, before registration is submitted.
The November 2026 Business and Technical examinations are expected to attract thousands of candidates from TVET institutions nationwide as Kenya continues strengthening skills development and technical training under the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework.
KNEC encouraged institutions experiencing registration challenges to liaise with the council while ensuring full compliance with all examination regulations and guidelines.
