Omboko who also serves as the national Chairman of the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) said development must begin with practical investments that improve people’s daily lives.
During a tour of North East, Central and West Bunyore wards, the legislator unveiled a raft of projects targeting schools, roads and public infrastructure while calling on parents to make education a priority.
“Education is the foundation of every successful society. I appeal to all parents to ensure their children are in school because investing in education today guarantees a brighter future tomorrow,” Milemba said.
At Emurembe Primary School, the MP presented a Sh1 million cheque for the construction of an administration block and announced additional funding to renovate four classrooms and construct a six-door toilet.
He praised the school’s academic achievements, saying they reflected the dedication of teachers, learners, parents and the wider community.
Roads, electricity and bridge projects
Beyond education, Milemba inspected the Ebunangwe–Emurembe Road and pledged to fast-track its rehabilitation.

At Essaba Primary School, the legislator presented Sh1.7 million for classroom renovations and fencing before announcing plans to construct a modern eight-classroom storey block with an administration wing.

More support for schools
In West Bunyore, Ebuyalu Primary School received Sh1.4 million for classroom renovations and was prioritised for the construction of a future storey classroom block.
Milemba also appealed to parents of children living with disabilities to enrol them in special schools where trained teachers can provide specialised education and care.
Addressing security concerns along the Busia–Kisumu Highway, particularly in Embali and Askote, the MP said government interventions were already underway following a recent visit by Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
“I installed security lights to improve safety, but vandalism has affected their effectiveness. We will restore them, but I urge residents to protect public property because development is a shared responsibility,” Milemba said.
