Makueni County Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Executive Secretary Justus Kimeu has called for fairness during the ongoing term two ball games competitions.
Speaking during the official opening ceremony of the county-level games at Makueni Boys High School, Kimeu urged referees and coaches to ensure that every learner gets an equal opportunity to showcase their talent.
“We expect coaches and referees to do their best in giving every learner and team an opportunity to showcase their talents. Let us be fair to all,” said Kimeu.
Teachers Praised for Talent Development
Kimeu commended teachers for their commitment to nurturing talent among learners and encouraged them to continue supporting students in reaching their full potential.
He noted that school competitions provide an important platform for identifying and developing talent that can progress to higher levels.
Learners Urged to Stay Active
The KUPPET official also encouraged learners to continue exercising and training even when competitions are not taking place.
He said regular practice not only helps learners remain physically fit but also enables them to continuously develop their sporting abilities.
