Reigning Bomet county boys’ basketball 3×3 champions Kimulot Boys High School will renew their rivalry with Tenwek High School when the secondary schools term two games get underway on Wednesday at St Michael’s grounds.

The two traditional rivals have been drawn in Pool A alongside Olbutyo Boys, setting the stage for another exciting contest.

Kimulot heads into the tournament with confidence after edging Tenwek in last year’s county championship to emerge as the basketball 3×3 champions.

Pool B comprises Longisa Boys and Kaplong Boys, who have already secured places in the semi-finals. The competition is expected to attract some of the best school talents in the county as teams’ battle for county honours and qualification to the next stage.

Kimulot, representing Konoin sub-county, will not only participate in basketball but will also field teams in football, rugby and indoor games. The school’s basketball team is guided by coach Norah Chebet and enjoys the support of senior principal Erick Korir, who believes the institution has prepared adequately for the competition.

Meanwhile, attention will also shift to Narok county where several schools are targeting strong performances in various disciplines. In boys’ volleyball, little-known Kuresiet senior school will be hoping to spring a surprise during the county games set to be staged at Narok boys’ grounds.
