Former Narok County netball champions Saire Secondary School delivered a commanding performance at the Narok Amalo Secondary School Term Two Games held at Rongena Grounds, underlining their intentions ahead of the county championships.
The team displayed impressive cohesion, discipline and tactical organisation throughout the tournament, emerging as one of the standout performers.
Dominance in Group Stages
Saire stamped their authority early, recording an emphatic 86–1 victory over Mogoyuet before overpowering Ngiito Secondary School 73–12.
In the match against Ngiito, officiated by umpires Daisy Chepwogen and Nelly Chemutai, Saire dominated both attack and defence from the opening whistle.
The team controlled possession, converted centre passes with remarkable accuracy and repeatedly intercepted passes to deny their opponents scoring opportunities.
Spectators at Rongena Grounds witnessed a high-tempo display as Saire established a commanding lead by halftime and never looked back.
Easy Passage to the Semifinals
Saire secured a place in the semifinals with another dominant performance, thrashing Naisoduri Secondary School 54–2.
Meanwhile, Ngiito edged Rongena Secondary School 16–14 in a tightly contested match to secure their own semifinal place.
Saire’s victory over Naisoduri further demonstrated the team’s attacking strength, defensive discipline and ability to maintain intensity throughout the competition.
Their scoring margin remained unmatched during the tournament.
Eyes on County Glory
Coached by Emmanuel Yegon and assisted by Jedidah Kirui, Saire are now turning their attention to the Narok County Secondary School Games scheduled to take place this week at Narok Boys High School.
The team is expected to face defending champions Oldonyo Orok Secondary School in one of the tournament’s most anticipated fixtures.
Captain Brenda Chepkemoi leads a confident squad that has impressed throughout the season, while Principal Leonard Tonui has praised the players for their discipline, commitment and consistency.
