St Benedict Kapkimolwa Senior School successfully defended their girls’ title during the Bomet East Sub-County Secondary Schools Term Two Games held at Longisa Grounds.
The reigning champions underlined their dominance in the competition with two impressive victories.
In their opening match, St Benedict defeated Mulot Girls 5-3 before producing a commanding performance to thrash Korara Girls 16-2 in their second fixture.
Mulot Girls recovered from their loss to St Benedict by registering a convincing 14-1 victory over Korara Girls in another match.
Speaking after the games, St Benedict head coach Tobias Kemboi praised his players for their determination, teamwork and commitment, attributing the success to proper preparation, discipline and unwavering support from the school management.
“We prepared well for the tournament, and the girls executed our plans perfectly. Their teamwork, discipline and desire to win made the difference,” said Kemboi.
Senior Principal Cornelius Sigei congratulated both the players and the technical bench for the achievement, noting that the successful title defence reflected the school’s commitment to excellence in both academics and co-curricular activities.
He commended the coaching staff for their dedication in preparing the team and urged the players to maintain their focus ahead of the county championships.
Sigei expressed confidence that the team is well prepared to compete for top honours at the Bomet county Games scheduled for next week.
The victory extends St Benedict Kapkimolwa’s impressive record in girls’ sports within the sub-county and reinforces their status as one of the leading teams heading into the county competition.
