Attention in school sports now turns to the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games, where Kenya’s revived giants Musingu High School and Friends School Kamusinga will be looking to extend their resurgence on the regional stage.
Fresh from winning the national handball title, Musingu High School will head into the FEASSSA championships brimming with confidence as they target yet another crown to reaffirm their dominance beyond the borders.
The Kakamega-based side, who boast six FEASSSA titles in their history, will be aiming to convert their national triumph into regional supremacy once again.
Their return to the top has reignited expectations, with many now watching closely to see whether the handball giants can replicate their past success against East Africa’s best school teams.
In the hockey arena, Friends School Kamusinga also head into the regional games with a point to prove.

The 19-time national champions narrowly missed out on national glory after a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to St. Antony Boys High School, Kitale, in the final.
That defeat has set the stage for a potential high-stakes rematch at FEASSSA, should both sides progress to the final. Kamusinga will be eager to settle scores and overturn their recent disappointment, while St. Antony will be keen to assert their growing dominance in school hockey.
The prospect of another Kamusinga–St. Antony showdown adds extra spice to the regional competition, with both sides expected to be among the frontrunners for the title.
