Laikipia University has issued a stern warning to students following reports that an individual is allegedly soliciting money from learners under the pretext of assisting with missing or corrected examination marks.
In a notice circulated to the university community, the administration cautioned students against falling victim to fraudsters who claim they can influence academic records in exchange for payment.
According to the institution, all academic processes including the verification, correction, and updating of marks are strictly handled through official university procedures and do not require any personal payments to individuals.
The university emphasized that any legitimate concerns regarding missing marks, grading errors, or academic records must be addressed formally through the relevant departments, such as the Registrar (Academic Affairs) or respective faculty offices.
The students have been reminded that no staff member or third party is authorized to demand money to “fast-track” or “fix” marks.
