Riokindo Boys National School in Kisii County is set to host the highly anticipated Riokindo Boys Mathematics Contest on March 8, 2026, drawing talented young mathematicians from across the region for a day of rigorous academic challenge.
The contest will feature two competitive categories aimed at testing students’ mastery of advanced mathematical concepts. The Senior Category, open to Form 4 students, will focus on Trigonometry III, while the Junior Category, open to Form 3 students, will examine Further Logarithms.
According to the organizing committee, the competition seeks to promote analytical thinking, strengthen problem-solving skills, and foster a culture of academic excellence among secondary school students.

Schools wishing to participate are required to pay a registration fee of Ksh 2,500 per group of 10 students. Interested institutions must also confirm their participation by March 5, 2026, to allow adequate time for preparation and coordination.
Event coordinator Albert Ombasa has urged schools to register early, noting that the contest offers students a unique opportunity to benchmark their mathematical skills and gain valuable competitive experience.
The Riokindo Boys Mathematics Contest is expected to attract strong regional participation, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence in mathematics.
