Borabu Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Patrick Osero has expressed disappointment over the low number of local Grade 10 students joining senior secondary schools in Nyamira County.
He called upon chiefs, assistants chiefs, and the Nyumba Kumi groups to comp out the area and ensure parents enroll their children to school.
“Every child who graduated from Junior Secondary school must join Grade 10 unconditionally. I don’t want to see these children at home,” he said.
The legislator made the remarks at his NG-CDF office in Kijauri while handing out education fund cheques. He further noted that schools with low enrollment might be combined to optimize resources.

NG-CDF Manager Dennis Rosana announced Ksh43 million allocated to beneficiaries, with 138 bodaboda riders sponsored for training.
Among the University Students who benefited was James Masabta of Moi University who praised the government for their role to boost education through the establishment of diverse sources of funds ranging from National and County Governments and grants.
He however proposed that all the funds be channeled into one source under the Ministry of Education to avoid delay to the recipients.
