The Salvation Army Kolanya Girls National School in Teso North, Busia County has received a major boost to its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programme following the donation of computers by the Busia County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Douglas Ejakait Okiring.

Speaking after delivering the computers, Okiring said the donation, made on Tuesday, will significantly strengthen digital learning at the school. With the addition of the new machines, the institution now boasts more than 50 desktop computers in its ICT laboratory.

“Currently, over 500 students are undertaking IT studies at the school, with all Grade 10 learners pursuing the subject as a compulsory course,” Okiring said.

He noted that the expanded computer capacity is expected to enhance access to digital learning resources and sharpen students’ practical ICT skills.
