TVET Authority warns public over fake recruitment scam

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has issued a public notice warning Kenyans about a fraudulent recruitment scam.

In the alert issued on Monday, the Authority said it had become aware of an individual identifying himself as “Dr. Mark Nzau” who is allegedly sending fake recruitment emails using the address TVETAuthority.recruitment@gmail.com

The Authority clarified that the email address is not affiliated with TVET Authority and emphasized that it does not conduct recruitment through Gmail accounts or any unofficial communication channels.

The Authority further cautioned members of the public against engaging with the individual or responding to the fraudulent email, noting that it will not be held liable for any loss, fraud, or crime arising from such interactions.

The regulator urged anyone who has received suspicious communication or believes they may have fallen victim to the scam to report the matter immediately to the police for investigation and appropriate action.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, quality, and integrity in the TVET sector, the Authority advised the public to remain vigilant and verify all official communication through its authorized channels only.
