Kitale town is gearing up for two days of high-octane hockey action as the 18th edition of the Masibo Open Hockey Tournament takes place on March 7–8, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Boys High School, Kitale.
The annual tournament, one of the most respected grassroots hockey competitions in the North Rift region, is organised by St. Anthony’s Boys High School under their renowned hockey outfit, Les Titans.
Over the years, the Masibo Open has grown into a key fixture on the local hockey calendar, attracting competitive teams and nurturing emerging talent from across the country.
This year’s edition is proudly sponsored by St. Anthony’s Boys Principal Simon Masibo, with support from other partners and well-wishers who have continued to invest in the growth of the sport. The sponsorship has played a crucial role in sustaining the tournament’s high standards and ensuring its continuity as a platform for talent development.
The tournament will feature both men’s and women’s teams, underscoring its inclusive approach and commitment to expanding hockey participation. Teams will compete after paying a registration fee of Ksh 4,000 with clubs, institutions and community teams expected to grace the two-day event.
