The TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) has announced new guidelines for institutions preparing for the March/April 2026 assessment series.
In a circular dated February 2, 2026, the Council said the changes affect amendment, validation and payment processes following the closure of the assessment registration period on February 1.
According to TVET CDACC, the assessment portal was reopened from February 3 to February 15, 2026. During this period, institutions will be allowed to make final amendments and validate their assessment data.
The Council said assessment centres must confirm that all registered candidates, units of competence and assessment cycles captured in the system are accurate before the window closes.
Institutions have also been directed to carefully validate assessment fees generated in the portal. TVET CDACC noted that official fee rates per unit are published on its website and should be cross-checked before any payments are made.

The amendment window will also allow institutions to register additional candidates who may have been left out during the initial registration phase. However, only units appearing in the draft assessment timetable will be considered for new registrations.
TVET CDACC said the final assessment timetable will be released on February 16. Institutions that complete registration and validation early have been advised to proceed directly with payment.
Assessment centres with units not included in the timetable have been instructed to formally write to the Council for guidance.
To support institutions during the process, the Council said real-time technical assistance will be available through its ICT helpdesk. Any issues reported through the portal will be addressed promptly.
The deadline for payment of assessment fees has been set for February 27. TVET CDACC warned that only institutions that fully pay the required fees will be granted access to assessment tools during the written assessment period.
