Kakamega School will on Sunday, February 8, 2026, host a student leaders’ forum aimed at strengthening leadership capacity among student leaders while promoting academic excellence.
The forum, scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., will bring together student leaders from various schools under the theme “Student leadership and academic excellence: The role of student leaders in driving academic excellence.”
The event seeks to highlight the critical role student leadership plays in shaping academic performance and character development in schools.
According to the organizers, the forum will focus on equipping students with essential leadership skills, instilling integrity values, and providing knowledge on emerging issues affecting learners today.
The participants will also be guided on how to become more effective leaders both within their schools and in the wider community.

The registration fee for the forum is Ksh 3,000, which caters for a set of ten (10) student leaders, making it accessible to institutions seeking to train their leadership teams collectively.
The event is being coordinated by Victor Opondo Opondo, the Coordinator and Patron of the Leadership, Integrity and Debate Club at Kakamega School.
The organizers have expressed confidence that the forum will offer a meaningful platform for mentorship, dialogue, and leadership development among students.
Schools and participants interested in attending have been encouraged to register early.
