The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the schedule for Quality Assurance and Standards Assessments to be conducted nationwide during the first term of 2026.

The exercise will begin on 2nd February and is expected to run until 20th March 2026, covering schools across all counties.

According to MoE, the assessments are designed to evaluate compliance with education standards, strengthen accountability, and improve the overall quality of teaching and learning in public schools.

Sub-County Directors of Education have been instructed to work closely with their Sub-County Quality Assurance and Standards Officers (SCQASOs) to identify schools to be assessed and to adhere to logistical arrangements agreed upon in earlier meetings.

Assessments in Migori will be conducted as follows: Nyatike North: 2nd-6th February, Suna West/Nyatike West: 16th-20th February, Kuria East/Kuria West: 9th-13th March, Rongo/Ntimaru: 16th-20th March

Similar schedules have been issued across the country, with counties expected to submit detailed plans and comply with agreed standards.
