KNUT faults TSC over delocalisation of teachers

By Peter Amos

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) maintained that it does support the ongoing delocalization of teachers by the Teachers Service Commission.
Speaking in Marera – Karateng’ in Kisumu West Sub County during a funeral, the National Assistant Secretary General Collins Oyoo Oyuu said that teachers were already locals by virtue of being Kenyan citizens.
“Why transfer teachers across different counties. This is inhuman”, he added.
The unionist, at the same time, lashed out at the at KEPSHA and KESSHA representatives in the National Executive Council (NEC), for having come out to openly and fully support the delocalization exercise, terming it a big surprise.
