The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has issued an addendum to remind all branch Executive Secretaries to comply with strict timelines for submitting nomination forms ahead of the 2026 branch elections.
In a circular referenced KUPPET/ELEC/04/2025, Secretary General Akelo Misori outlined the required documentation and submission deadlines for branches conducting elections in January and February next year.
Branches scheduled to hold elections in January 2026 are required to submit completed nomination forms to KUPPET Headquarters by 5:00 pm on December 15, 2025.
Each form must be accompanied by a bank deposit slip, a copy of the national identity card, and, where applicable, a certificate from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
For branches conducting elections in February 2026, the deadline for submission of nomination documents is 5:00 pm on January 9, 2026.

The circular emphasizes that all submissions must be delivered physically to the union’s head office.
Branch Executive Secretaries have been urged to circulate the information widely among members and to assist candidates in meeting the requirements.
Secretary General Misori reaffirmed KUPPET’s commitment to transparent and credible electoral processes.
He encouraged branch leaders to contact the headquarters directly with any questions or clarifications regarding the nomination process.
The addendum is part of KUPPET’s ongoing effort to ensure organized, fair, and timely elections across all branches ahead of the 2026 cycle.
