A family from West Pokot County is appealing for public assistance in tracing their son, Timothy Kibet Kedisia, a first-year Nursing student at Maasai Mara University who has been missing for the past seven months.

Timothy, who hails from Parayon Location in Tapach Ward, Pokot South Constituency, was last seen at the university’s Gate B, where witnesses reported spotting him seated between two unidentified young men before he disappeared under unclear circumstances.

According to the family, they spent an entire week at the university shortly after Timothy went missing, hoping to obtain answers or an official report regarding his whereabouts.

However, they claim that no concrete action was taken by the institution and that no formal communication was issued to guide their search efforts.

The prolonged silence and lack of progress have taken a toll on the family. Timothy’s mother, who serves as the Assistant Chief of Nyarpat Sublocation, is said to be battling depression as months pass without any information on her son’s fate.

“The pain of not knowing where Timothy is has been unbearable. We have searched everywhere, reported to every authority we can, but we still have no answers,” a family source said.

The family has now extended their search beyond the university, calling on members of the public to share any information that might help trace the missing student. They are urging anyone with leads, however small, to come forward and contact them.

The disappearance has sparked concern among local leaders and community members, who are questioning the university’s response and calling for a more coordinated effort involving law enforcement and the institution’s administration.

As the search enters its seventh month, the family continues to hold onto hope, appealing to all Kenyans to assist in any way possible. Anyone with information is urged to get in touch through direct message or report to the nearest police station.
