Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has lauded the successful conclusion of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, marking the end of this year’s national assessments and examinations cycle.
The CS described the process as seamless, well-coordinated, and a strong demonstration of the country’s commitment to integrity in education.
Speaking after supervising the opening of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) container at the Nyamira North Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner’s offices today, the CS officially signaled the start of the final day of the 2025 KCSE exams.
His presence highlighted the Ministry’s vigilant oversight throughout the assessment period.
After the opening exercise, he proceeded to Kebabe Girls High School, where he monitored the administration of the examinations and interacted with centre managers and supervisors to assess progress.
Ogamba praised all stakeholders for their diligence and unity of purpose, noting that the success of the 2025 KCSE was anchored on strong collaboration across the education sector.

“This year’s examinations have run smoothly and professionally, thanks to the tireless commitment of contracted professionals, centre managers, teachers, parents, and learners,” he said.
He added, “Their dedication has ensured that the credibility and integrity of our national assessment process remain solid.”
The CS emphasised the government’s commitment to safeguarding examinations, highlighting enhanced security measures, timely distribution of materials, and increased support for schools in remote areas.
He also commended security officers and county education officials for their vigilance, which ensured fairness and calm throughout the exam period.
Ogamba congratulated the 2025 candidates for their resilience and discipline.
He assured the country that the marking process will be executed with the same level of integrity and professionalism, with results expected once all quality assurance procedures are complete.
The CS reiterated that the Ministry will continue refining examination administration, using insights from this year’s process to strengthen Kenya’s overall national assessment framework.
