The Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba is expected to preside over the inaugural graduation ceremony of Tindiret Technical and Vocational College (Tindiret TVC), marking a historic milestone for the institution and the wider Tindiret community.
The ceremony, scheduled for today, November 21, 2025 will take place at the Tindiret TVC Grounds in Sigoria.
It will be the first time the college formally sends out graduates since its establishment, symbolizing growing confidence in the government’s investment in technical and vocational education.
Tindiret TVC, popularly referred to as the citadel of skills, enterprise, and progress, has been positioning itself as a key training hub for young people seeking practical skills that respond to modern economic demands.
The graduation theme, “Skills for Economic Transformation,” underscores the institution’s commitment to aligning training with national development priorities.
The CS will be hosted by area MP Julius Melly, who is also the chairman of National Assembly Committee on Education.
Melly also serves as the patron of the college and has been instrumental in championing TVET growth within the region.
According to the organizers, the ceremony will not only celebrate the achievements of the pioneer graduates but also highlight the role of TVET institutions in driving employment creation, innovation, and community empowerment.
The stakeholders from across the education sector, local leadership, and industry partners are expected to grace the event.
The college leadership has expressed optimism that the CS’s presence will further strengthen the institution’s profile and motivate learners and staff as they continue to develop programs that meet market needs.
The inaugural graduation is viewed as a major boost to Tindiret’s rising status as a centre for technical excellence, reaffirming the government’s broader agenda of expanding skills training for economic transformation.
