“The most disappointing thing is receiving reports that officers from the ministry or school heads are involved in exam malpractices. These are our own people, but once implicated, the law must take its course,” he warned.
The CS further urged all teachers and examination officials to demonstrate discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct throughout the examination period, saying that maintaining credibility in the exam process was a shared responsibility that determines the future of learners and the country at large.
He added that the government had put in place adequate mechanisms to guarantee the smooth administration of exams across the country, including in areas affected by floods and landslides.

Ogamba also said the government remains committed to addressing challenges in the education sector, including timely disbursement of capitation funds and equitable resource allocation to improve learning standards.
He further revealed that a comprehensive audit and rationalisation of schools is underway to promote transparency and accountability in the sector.
“The changes we are implementing are meant to identify what works well and what needs to be improved, ensuring that every learner and teacher benefits from a fair and efficient education system,” he said.
Ogamba assured candidates that every learner would be catered for under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which is designed to help students advance according to their unique strengths, talents, and interests.
