President William Ruto is expected to grace the 2025 World Teachers Day as the Chief Guest, the event which will be held at the Moi International Sports Center Gymnasium – Kasarani on Sunday October 5, 2025.

Unlike the previous celebrations where the employer Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invites few stakeholders, this time round the celebrations will be open to all teachers who have been urged to attend the celebrations in large numbers, and will be marked by tree planting exercises.

The event will be held jointly with TSC and teacher unions and associations notably the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers (KUSNET), Kenya Primary School Head teachers Association (KEPSHA), and Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA), among others.
