Elgeyo Marakwet family seeks help to trace missing 14-year-old daughter

A family in Elgeyo Marakwet County is appealing for help in tracing their 14-year-old daughter, who has been missing for days.

Mitchell Chebet Kibet, a Form Two student at Benonin Secondary School, was last seen around Sosion, Kaprandi, Kapsimotwo area at about 11 a.m. According to her family, Mitchell is tall, dark, and talkative.

At the time of her disappearance, she had a white trouser, black T-shirt, and black rubber shoes.

Her mother, Monica Solian, said she became alarmed when her daughter failed to return home in the evening.

“We have searched the neighborhood and contacted friends and relatives, but there is no trace of her. We are appealing to anyone with information to come forward,” she told reporters.

The matter has been reported to the police, and residents have been urged to assist in the search. Anyone with information on Mitchell’s whereabouts is requested to contact her mother via 0726 773 718 or report to the nearest police station.
