Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers in Murang’a staged a peaceful demonstration demanding for full autonomy from the current primary school domiciled.

The teachers demanded a distinct JSS structure with separate leadership, resources, and curriculum.
Ronald Atamba of the Kenya Junior School Teachers Association said the current setup creates confusion and lacks essential infrastructure, especially science laboratories.
