Bureti Member of Parliament (MP) Kibet Komingoi on August 25, 2026, allocated more than Ksh12 million to support the growth of schools across his constituency through renovations, new construction and land purchase.
The largest share went to Tiriitab-Moita Comprehensive School, which received a cheque worth Ksh4.95 million. The funds will be used for the overhaul renovations of existing facilities and the construction of a six door ablution block. The project is expected to improve the learning environment, provide proper sanitation for students, and extend the lifespan of school structures that have served the community for years.
Kaborus Secondary School was another major beneficiary, receiving Ksh4.2 million to support the reconstruction and completion of a storey block. The building will accommodate a laboratory and additional classrooms. Once complete, the facility will expand access to science-based subjects and ease congestion in existing classrooms. The school community views the support as a step toward strengthening academic performance and preparing students for higher levels of education.
Chemoiywa Junior Secondary School secured its future with the final payment of Ksh3.6 million for the purchase of land that includes existing developments. By completing this transaction, the school gains permanent ownership of its space, ensuring room for growth and stability as enrolment numbers continue to rise under the junior secondary education system.

By channeling resources to multiple institutions, the MP seeks to uplift education standards and create an enabling environment for learners and teachers.
Education stakeholders in the constituency have welcomed the support, noting that such interventions will directly impact performance, student welfare, and community development.
The initiatives form part of broader constituency efforts to improve education, reflecting the growing demand for quality learning environments in both primary and secondary levels. For many families, the projects represent renewed hope for better academic outcomes and opportunities for their children.
